Hayfever = suck. Cold = suck. Hayfever + cold = suck^2.

  1. So suck = 2?

  2. I’ll be the first geek to say it…

    if Hayfever = Suck
    and Cold = Suck
    then Hayfever + Cold = 2(Suck)
    unless Suck = 2
    then and only then will Hayfever + Cold = Suck^2

    I think you’ll find that;

    Hayfever * Cold = Suck^2

    :)

  4. hayfever = suck = cold = 0?

  5. Nope, it equals 2suck. Still bad, but it’s at least O(n), not O(n^2)

  6. Therefore, hayfever and cold are both equal to either 0 or 2.

    Or did you mean to say “Hayfever + cold = 2*suck” or that “Hayfever * cold = suck^2”?

    Sorry, couldn’t resist…

  7. No, dude.
    Either Hayfever*cold = suck^2 or Hayfever + cold = 2*suck

  8. So, suck + suck = suck^2
    which gives 2*suck = suck^2
    Dividing by ‘suck’ gives suck = 2
    I think that’s the first time I’ve seen the numerical value of ‘suck’.

  9. So, from that, we can conclude that suck, and hence hayfever and cold, each have the value 2.

    In other news, I empathise completely. In fact, I am no longer sure whether what I’m experiencing is what I thought was a cold or not, or hayfever, or self-induced rhinitis medicamentosa (too much oxymetazoline :s). Shouldn’t be hayfever, as I have undergone two years of immunotherapy, but maybe I’m suffering a relapse….

    Get well soon :)
